She established a passion for real estate at a young age. With over seventy years of her family engaging in real estate businesses in Laredo, Martha began immersing herself in the industry while cleaning her grandparent's office on San Bernardo Avenue. Martha took her first real estate course during her senior year of high school. In 1983, Martha earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in Real Estate Finance from Texas A and M University in Kingsville. She began working for the family company under her father’s supervision and learned market knowledge and gained the experience to become a successful agent.
In addition to her real estate license, Martha also obtains her brokerage license. In 2017, Martha joined Coldwell Banker Ana Ochoa and Company. She has since been recognized by Coldwell Banker National each year and has been an International President’s Circle Award Winner. Martha holds the following designations: Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), Short Sales and Foreclosures Certificate (SSF), Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR), and Graduate REALTOR® Institute (GRI). Martha is continuously supported by her husband Judge Hugo D. Martinez, and their three children: Alison, Daniel, and Eileen, and grandchildren, Clark, and Gwendolyn.
